Many locals believe the Kushtaka and Bigfoot may be the same entity. The team focuses their investigation on the lake's shoreline and the northeast side of Gray Mountain, an area residents have identified as a potential Bigfoot hotspot. Evidence discovered during the investigation includes trees broken off at their bases and scattered across trails, suggesting territorial behavior, as well as unusual vocalizations that researchers suspect may have been attempts to lure team members closer to the water.

Using thermal imaging equipment, Mireya detects a massive heat signature in the lake water approximately 100 yards from Ronny's position, but when Ronny approaches and switches to night vision, the signature vanishes, apparently submerging below the surface. The team notes this behavior aligns with numerous local reports of large creatures swimming, boarding boats, and moving along shorelines in the region. Russell tracks what he believes to be a large unknown animal moving due east, discovering splintered trees that appear deliberately broken as displays of strength. The investigators observe that the coastal environment provides abundant food sources—shellfish and prey animals—making it a logical hunting ground for apex predators. The team concludes their findings are consistent with Kushtaka legend and ongoing Bigfoot activity in the area.
