Closer Than Ever

The team continued their investigation in a remote Washington wilderness area centered around a secluded lake—habitat the researchers identified as prime Bigfoot territory. During a nighttime deployment, Dr. Mireya Mayor and Ronny LeBlanc reported observing a massive heat signature on thermal imaging positioned on a ridge above their location. The figure appeared to remain stationary, standing upright and watching them from an elevated vantage point. The team also documented possible wood knocks and heard movement near the water's edge, accompanied by what they described as a strong, gamey odor in the area. Russell Acord reported feeling as though something was maneuvering behind the team's position during the encounter. When investigators attempted to relocate the thermal signature for a clearer observation, it had disappeared from view.

The field team deployed thermal imaging equipment during night operations and conducted systematic daylight searches of the encounter zones to locate physical evidence. Russell examined the ridgeline where the heat signature was observed, Mireya searched the dense forest east of the lake, and Ronny investigated the area surrounding a possible tree structure near their camp. Ronny specifically focused on collecting potential hair samples from low-hanging branches along game trails, reasoning that a large creature moving through the area would likely brush against vegetation. Despite their methodical approach, the investigators noted the elusive nature of their subject, with Russell observing that whatever they were tracking appeared to be consistently outmaneuvering their efforts.
