Why Are They Here?

Season 6 opens with field investigator Bryce Soderberg following a promising lead in southern Washington, approximately 500 miles north of where the team last tracked potential sasquatch activity in northern California. A timber scout working in the remote wilderness known as "the Fork" discovered what appeared to be freshly constructed nest structures deep in an area rarely visited by hikers. The witness, whose identity was protected due to professional concerns within the timber industry, guided Bryce to the site approximately one week after the initial discovery. The structures—woven formations of branches with green needles still attached—suggested recent construction. Bryce reported detecting a distinctive odor at the location, and the nest configuration reminded him of similar structures discovered by Dr. Mireya Mayor in northern California months earlier, which the team had associated with a possible sasquatch family group including a juvenile.

The discovery prompted Bryce to establish an operational command center at the southern boundary of the target zone and contact his fellow researchers, primatologist Dr. Mireya Mayor and survivalist Russell Acord. Bryce theorized that the Washington nests could confirm his hypothesis that sasquatch families migrate northward along a specific corridor, with the Fork potentially serving as a gathering area for multiple family groups. The team began compiling witness reports and analyzing data collected over six years of field research, narrowing their focus to this remote wilderness region for an extended investigation aimed at documenting what they believed could be a sasquatch migration pattern.
